A-not-so-walk-in-closet, I want!

Hello darlings!

If you’re wondering, the laptop I currently am using and the broadband connection hasn’t been treating me good thus far.
There’s two laptops at home, a Dell and a Toshiba.
This Dell I’m using, I can never upload pictures with it but somehow the internet connection did not seem to disconnect that much.
And as for the Toshiba, I can upload pictures but it keep disconnecting every other minute.
This. Is. Driving. Me. Insane!!

With such condition, it will probably take me a few months to blog about my entire stay in Melbourne.
I want my desktop and streamyx back!! They never fail me, well maybe once in a blue moon.
Now that you know my pathetic condition, please do forgive me if any post regarding Melbourne doesn’t seem to appear on my blog.

Been squeezing some brain juice and goggling room’s design for the past few days on how to do my room again.
My previous room is considered new to me and now I have to do it all over again. I’m not too sure if it’s a good thing or the other way round.
I could have put my furnitures back to the way it was but I figured that’ll be a little too silly of me since I have the chance to give it a brand new look.

My only concern will be the design and placing of my so called closet. So called is because it’s not a even a closet to begin with. If you don’t know already, I’ll buy the idea of a walk-in-closet anytime rather than a wardrobe/closet.
Never like the idea of having a wardrobe which can never fit in all my clothes (yeah, tons of clothes and I still find nothing to wear every time) and one that can fit in all of them, I cant quite afford.

I don’t think I have a picture of how my previous ‘closet’ looks like, sorry to disappoint you.
I kinda like it that way but on a second thought I actually want to place my bed right there.
Discussed with the boyf on how should I do my room and I kind of have a plan already for now. Just hope that my mom will approve to it.

I would definitely love to have mine looking this way. Love it!!
More rails for me, since I hang most of my clothes and finish it with a sheer curtain so that my clothes wont be dusty.
I don’t know my mom keeps talking about how the dust will stick on my clothes if I don’t cover it.
Ahh! I wonder how much this will cost but for one thing I’m sure, this will not cost more than a wardrobe that is big enough to fit in all dresses and what not.
My previous ‘closet’ cost me less than Rm200, with curtains and I’m happy with it.

Glad that the boyf can help me with my room, his assignment for this holiday. hoho ;D

Cumulus Inc

“CUMULUS INC. eating house and bar opened in 2008 in Melbourne’s famous art and fashion precinct, Flinders Lane.”
So from what I’ve found out Cumulus Inc is run by chef Andrew McConnell and architect partner Pascale Gomes-McNabb, creating a unique eating experience by serving excellent food and of course, a great interior design to go along with the food.

And in a few years time you’ll see bloggers blogging about this ‘XXX restaurant’ run by chef Peggy Chow and architect partner Ben Tay, creating an awesome pawsome eating experience.
What!? Still not too old for me to dream right, pfft! Dream has no boundaries okay. okay. okay!?

Back to Cumulus Inc, by far this is one of my favorite restaurant in Melbourne.
Food taste absolutely delicious and it just doesn’t taste delicious, as said it does taste unique in a way.
Something different. Nothing complicated, the taste is simple yet different.
I don’t even know how to put it into words, I just love it.

* Cumulus Inc , everything is great. I guess I must have been busy eating hence there isn’t any pictures of the interior but do visit their website if you’re interested. (:

* The bread itself looks so good and soft.

* Two different types of oyster but I cant remember what is what now. Each cost around $4.

* Soft shell mud crab, this taste absolutely delicious! $20

* Scallops, boyf’s favorite. As long as there’s scallop on the menu, he’ll order it. Cant seem to get the price from their website.

* I cannot remember what fish is this, too long ago ):

* The lady who served us asked if we’d like to have salad as well, we both don’t feel like it but ordered anyway. I don’t know why. When our salad came I told the boyf we shouldn’t have ordered this but I was very wrong. This is no ordinary salad, the sauce taste so different and good. I’m actually not a salad person and they can make salad taste this good.

* Selection of Petit Fours $8, dessert was a little disappointing though but I believe they do have better desserts.

Cumulus Inc do serve breakfast too, have yet to try but I’m anticipating.
One more thing I like about Cumulus Inc is that they have open kitchen and I can sit right at the bar seeing all those young handsome chefs cooking right in front of me.
Really really like seeing chef preparing my food in front of me.

I’d definitely go back if I have the chance to step foot in Melbourne again.
Oh and the bill came up to about $100+, pretty affordable if we count dollar to dollar.
I’m pretty sure I cant get food with such quality with Rm100+ here in Malaysia.

But then again, I hope I’m wrong.
Gonna try out this restaurant that I’ve been dying to try since last year.
I hope it wont fail me since I’ve read plenty of good reviews on the web.
Cant wait (;

Back from Melbourne.

If you think that I’m lazy again to blog, nope you’re wrong.
Been dying to blog, like finally I have so much free time I can slowly blog about Melbourne.

BUT!!

Something has to come into the way, pfft!
This time, I cant seem to upload my pictures at all, garhh!!
Blog, facebook, or twitter it just doesn’t seem to work. I’m not sure if it’s the laptop I’m using or the lousy connection but whichever it is, it’s driving me crazy.

I’m just gonna leave the pictures behind for now since it’s not working no matter how hard I try.
All I can do is just to wait for my brother to be back and use his broadband or to wait for the boyf to be back so I can do it using his computer. Annoying much.

Friends been asking me so what do I actually do when I’m in Melbourne, what’s my daily routine like.
Nothing much actually.
Wake up, lunch, laze around, clean the house, grocery shopping, prepare for dinner, laze around, cook, do the dishes, go out and have a drink, play some pool, come home, watch HK drama, nag the boyf and go to bed. That’s about it, haha.
Oh, and bully the boyf. :D
This is my normal routine but of course every now and then we will just head out and explore Melbourne. (:
I like staying at home in Melbourne more than KL.

I did nothing since I came back and for your information I’m currently staying in Bukit Jalil cause my home is under renovation.
I cannot wait to go back to my home and especially my room.
Cant believe I still have to clean the house when I’m back here, boo. ):
And I actually like to clean the Melbourne house more, I hate to mop the floor!!
Vacuuming seems more bearable and sometimes I actually have fun doing it.

I don’t know I just miss Melbourne so much. I miss everything there.
Everything in Melbourne just seems so nice.
I feel sticky 24/7 since I’m back and how I hate it. Ugh.
Other than that, everything is pretty much normal.

I’m just bored for now, hence the rambling.
Boyf coming back tomorrow, cant wait! :D :D :D

3 Months In Melbourne

1) I didn’t come across any mosquito, not even one. I nearly forget the existence of mosquito but soon enough I’m going back to hell cause there’s tons and tons of it in my home.

2) No lizard!! Not one either and this could possibly be one of the best thing for me. Again, going back to hell cause there’s too tons of it at home. fml

3) I feel really really safe being here in Melbourne, I’m not afraid when I walk down the street during 4 in the morning and I absolutely love the feeling. No matter how, Malaysia can never never give me this feeling, I’ll only feel paranoid. ):

4) Good public transport if were to compare to home. From my house to KLCC by car will prolly take me 20 minutes without jam but if I were to use the public transport I have to take a bus to Taman Maluri Jusco then change to LRT to Masjid Jamek and THEN change again only to reach KLCC. And sometimes you just have to wait effing long for the bus PFFT. On normal days I only wait for trams for like 3 to 5 minutes and they even tell you how long you have to wait unlike Malaysia. PFFFFFT!

5) There’s traffic lights everywhere and there’s really nothing to worry about when we cross the roads. Back home, it might cost you your life wtf.

6) Good cafes. Very good cafes with beautiful decorations and not to forget food that taste heaven as well. And by cafes I don’t mean Asian food.

7) No stray dogs. I only get to see all the cute dogs (:

8) Some really creative advertisement and of course, you get to see pretty models wearing panties on TV commercial. I was pretty shock when I first saw it because you know if you get to see that on Malaysia’s TV, everyone in Malaysia is gonna be a billionaire wtf.

9) Sushi roll!!! Yes I love sushi roll!

10) Chai latte, not sure if there’s any in Malaysia. If yes, where?

11) But I hate the fact that their shops closes at 5 in the evening. *boring*

12) and it’s really expensive to eat out

13) and they don’t have nice shisha place here

14) and their roti canai cost $5!!! I can eat like 15 pieces in KL.

15) and not much yam cha place during the night.

16) and a movie ticket cost me $20!!

17) and 2 hours of public transport cost me $3.80!! (sorry i’m really kiamsiap wtf)

18) and everything here just seems ridiculously expensive to me ):

19) and it’s MAD COLD!!!

yah that’s about it for the time being. I’m going back real sooooooon. Less than 24 hours!!!!!!!!!1 ):

Ben’s Birthday (:

As promised, a blog post in a day with pictures (:
A post that was supposed to come a month earlier. That shows how lazy I am, maybe I can blame it on the winter here. You know, winter just makes people lazy.

It was his birthday last week (pending post) month and we had a japanese birthday dinner because we cant help craving for japanese food after watching that hongkong sushi drama.
For the entire week I crave for sushi and it didn’t help, I miss sushi zanmai even more.
We went to this Japanese restaurant in Crown called Nobu, a restaurant opened by a celebrated Japanese chef, Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro himself.

* Sushi bar, I just love sitting there taking a quick look at these sushi masters doing their thing in between my meal. (:

* Tuna Tataki with Tozasu $22

* New Style Salmon Sashimi $18.5

* Sea Urchin $10, Japanese Chu-Toro $18 if I’m not wrong , and King Fish $5.

* Black Cod with Miso $45.5 (boyf’s favourite)

* Lobster with Wasabi Pepper Sauce $60

* Kurobuta Pork Belly with Karashi Su Miso and Nashi pear $37

Dinner was great, especially the Tuna Tataki and Salmon sashimi. *orgasmic*
But we both agreed that we should have ordered something else instead of lobster and pork belly because there really isn’t much for us to rave about on both the dishes.
Maybe we should just stick with seafood next time but nonetheless I love the dinner.
The bill came up to about $250 and if you ask me if it’s worth the price, I cant say that it’s not because indeed the food is good.
But I’ll never like the idea that it is actually that expensive.
Since it’s the boy’s birthday, I guess it’s okaaaaayyyyyyyyy. (:

We came home after dinner and I surprised him with a cake and the present I bought him all the way from Malaysia. Which is a piece of art. Yes you heard me right, a piece of art.

* Birthday boy with the lousy birthday cake I bake when he went to class that afternoon.

* Tadaaaa!! Cute isn’t?? ngehehe, really look quite like the both of us :D

And of course, camwhore a little :P

As for his birthday party surprise, well………..
Long before his birthday I asked myself, what kind of surprise should I give him.
If you didn’t know, I love giving people surprises. It makes me happy (:
Anyway, two weeks ago my friend suggested to have a barbecue session at our place.
But I suggested the following week instead with the excuse that we are short of cash but in fact I secretly told them that it’s Ben’s birthday next week. (:
Everyone agreed and keep it as a secret from the birthday boy,and he still thought that it’s because we’re short of cash.

BUT! BUT! BUT!
This blur friend of mine, accidentally spill it out when we’re having our coffee.
my blur friend: next saturday barbecue right? for your birthday..
me: stare at him intensely.
my blur friend: no meh? i thought it’s for your birthday
me: staring at him even more intense my eyeballs almost fall off with the thinking that i’m gonna kill him anytime soon.
ben: huh. for my birthday meh. *looks at me*
me: (FML!!!)
my blur friend: ooooo……………ooooooo………..sorry.
me: kill me please.

i’m not sure if i wanted to kill him or myself. like O-M-G!!!
Pfft but nehmind I planned for a back up surprise right away. I secretly changed it to friday without the birthday boy noticing.
Informed everyone secretly, and even asked my blur friend to ask him out on friday itself so that i can stay home alone and prepare everything.
It was quite a mess due to the time constraint.

I prepared all the marinates the day before.
Beef, lamb, chicken, prawn, and squid. Typing it all out now here reminds me how painstakingly I prepared all of these.
And the most horrible of all, is no doubt the friggin squid.

* I was cutting the squid into half and half way through I saw something looking back at me. I shriek so loud and throw the eerie squid back into the sink. The squid ate the fish and it’s still inside WTF!!!! I know it’s just a fish but it really is uber disgusting.

Enough of the squid. On the day itself as I planned, boyf went out without me and I stayed home preparing for the food all day. My kitchen looks exactly like a war zone that day.

* let’s barbecueeeee.

* cooked creamy tomato spaghetti, baked mushroom, caesar salad, …..

* …… and baked egg, potato and cherry tomato.

* Man, I love the candles here in Melbourne I wanna buy them all home!! So special!!

Fat Ben, I’m such a good girlfriend right? *flips hair*
ngeheheheheheheh

I think there’s the need to shoot myself in the head for being such a lazy bum.
Sorry to disappoint you if you typed peggychow.com, pressed enter only to find that my blog hasn’t been much updated lately.

The internet is finally here, after what seems like a century long.
Just in time for me to take full use of it for another week.
Just a very short update to tell you guys that I’m very much alive.

Will update again in a day or two, with pictures I hope.
