My twenty-third mini birthday party will not have ‘succeeded’ if Mr.Ben decides not to lend me a helping hand.
I am such a troublesome girlfriend sometimes.
And I gave him even more trouble when he needs to cook together with me for the food.
Gosh he hates it but still he’ll do it because he loves me. /tak-malu haha

* He blew the balloons and hang it on the tree for me.

He actually took the time and Google on how we can decorate the place to make it looks nicer, more appealing to the eyes.

Bistro à Table (pronounced “ah t-ah-bl”) in French literally means “to the table!”, a common term used in French households to gather family and friends around the table to feast.
The bistro food pays homage to modern French comfort food, while adopting local elements – we like to call it “adaptive French cuisine”.

The boyfriend had been wanting to try out Bistro à Table since some time back and he finally did when he brought me there on my birthday.
French cuisine it is, we both share a common love.
And before that, sorry for the low quality picture because I did not use flash in this dimly lit restaurant.

* Decorated with light bulbs and plants.

* A very simple and casual interior they have.

* I would prefer siting at the table behind of me because there’s curtain’s surrounding that table and it just feels nicer somehow.

* My fatty (:

* Complimentary bread.

* This prawn is so good, no joke! The slightly burnt prawn when dip in the avocado sauce became a match made in heaven.

* Baked onion with shaved black autumn truffles, organic egg and melted Gruyere. The chef shaved the black truffles right in front of us and I just somehow feel like it’s more worth the money haha. This dish requires lots of skills I guess, I don’t know how they stuff the egg inside the onion.

* Cannelloni of Seared Scallops & School Prawns in Lobster Bisque & Indonesian Black Nut Tapenade. This fusion dish is very well executed, brings out a little Thai flavour while both the scallops and prawns are mad fresh.

* Truffled Mash Potatoes, eat this and you’ll be full.

* 8 hour slow-cooked traditional Roast Lamb, not the most creative dish. Maybe we should have order another dish instead.

I had a great birthday dinner and I really enjoyed the food, thanks to the boyfriend. (:
It seems like he prefer Bistro à Table more than Nathalie’s but both to me are equally good.
Really appreciate French cuisine!

I’ve knew her for long, well I would say it’s long enough for me and her to get this strong bond. As we grow older (fml I think we are getting older aren’t we?) I realize it’s just so hard to get a friend like that. It’s never easy. I remember clearly some words from a very good friend of both of us. She said “friends are forever”. I never quite thought about it until I heard it from her, and like I said earlier, as days go by, people come and go, those who actually made the effort to stay, is rare. We can always understand each other easily, even people around us who is actually listening to our conversation don’t really know what we actually on about, we sort of like having a secret language or code, that can only understand by me and her. And I’m loving it. (:

Think properly, it’s actually harder to maintain a friendship than a relationship. Well, at least to me it is. Friendship doesn’t involve commitment, it’s based purely on trust. You are not obliged to update what’s happening around you lately, you are not obliged to keep in touch with them, you do it on your own, your own will. What more when I’m not even around her? I’m in this land, far away from home, it’s even harder with the huge time difference that we got. But nevertheless, we still make it through and here I am, writing my very first blog post. (:

In this month of November, which is kinda special to me. Probably is me that having too much time in my hand, makes me think even more. This is our favorite month I must say, and the reason for it is clear. *evil grins*
But ironically, we only celebrated each other’s birthday for once. Ya, you got me right, it’s only once in these 7 freaking years. I think we got some curse for it or something. )): is there anyone out there that can break the curse for us? D:

For me leaving my beloved country to live and study overseas it’s a really good experience I must say. It tells me a theory that I’ve already knew “幸福不是必然” I knew it, but I never actually felt the meaning of it, not until I leave Malaysia. Friend like this never easy to find and I must say that I’m very very very lucky to have one. Families that are always with me is precious.They are my everything. They are there no matter what I’ve done, how rebellious I was, they are there to forgive me, encourage me, giving me support and what not. They are everything that I needed.

Relationship, going overseas is killing, LDR is never fun, you don’t feel like you’re actually in a relationship when you are having a LDR. Everything feels so unreal, all you do is, video calling as if he’s beside you when you needed him. But it’s never the same, you wouldn’t get cuddle, you wouldn’t get kisses like you normally do. Everything is just so surreal. But I guess that I’m blessed, he didn’t love me any lesser, he still loves me like I never left before. Sometimes I wonder, what have I done in my past life to deserve such a perfect guy like him? I think it’s miracle (:

I think I’m pretty blessed. Good friends, good families and a good relationship. What can I ask more? How can one not blessed when you have a friend like Peggy Chow, that will share all my ups and down. She never went away when I was down, she’s always there when I needed her, she’s always here to share all my happiness and the downside in my life. She’s the one who will cheer me up when I’m not, giving me advice when I’m confused, opening me up when I’m overly stubborn. I’m blessed to have her.

But here again, another year that I couldn’t sing happy birthday song to my bff. The thought itself makes me sad already. )): but nevertheless, I know that she will still have a great one with her love one around her, and this makes me feel better and happy for her, truly from the bottom of my heart. (:

Okay, I think I’m writing a really really long essay here. I guess I should stop rambling in case you guys got too bored and blame Peggy Chow for this ><

It was his birthday last week (pending post) month and we had a japanese birthday dinner because we cant help craving for japanese food after watching that hongkong sushi drama.
For the entire week I crave for sushi and it didn’t help, I miss sushi zanmai even more.
We went to this Japanese restaurant in Crown called Nobu, a restaurant opened by a celebrated Japanese chef, Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro himself.

* Sushi bar, I just love sitting there taking a quick look at these sushi masters doing their thing in between my meal. (:

* Tuna Tataki with Tozasu $22

* New Style Salmon Sashimi $18.5

* Sea Urchin $10, Japanese Chu-Toro $18 if I’m not wrong , and King Fish $5.

* Black Cod with Miso $45.5 (boyf’s favourite)

* Lobster with Wasabi Pepper Sauce $60

* Kurobuta Pork Belly with Karashi Su Miso and Nashi pear $37

Dinner was great, especially the Tuna Tataki and Salmon sashimi. *orgasmic*
But we both agreed that we should have ordered something else instead of lobster and pork belly because there really isn’t much for us to rave about on both the dishes.
Maybe we should just stick with seafood next time but nonetheless I love the dinner.
The bill came up to about $250 and if you ask me if it’s worth the price, I cant say that it’s not because indeed the food is good.
But I’ll never like the idea that it is actually that expensive.
Since it’s the boy’s birthday, I guess it’s okaaaaayyyyyyyyy. (:

We came home after dinner and I surprised him with a cake and the present I bought him all the way from Malaysia. Which is a piece of art. Yes you heard me right, a piece of art.

As for his birthday party surprise, well………..
Long before his birthday I asked myself, what kind of surprise should I give him.
If you didn’t know, I love giving people surprises. It makes me happy (:
Anyway, two weeks ago my friend suggested to have a barbecue session at our place.
But I suggested the following week instead with the excuse that we are short of cash but in fact I secretly told them that it’s Ben’s birthday next week. (:
Everyone agreed and keep it as a secret from the birthday boy,and he still thought that it’s because we’re short of cash.

BUT! BUT! BUT!
This blur friend of mine, accidentally spill it out when we’re having our coffee.
my blur friend: next saturday barbecue right? for your birthday..
me: stare at him intensely.
my blur friend: no meh? i thought it’s for your birthday
me: staring at him even more intense my eyeballs almost fall off with the thinking that i’m gonna kill him anytime soon.
ben: huh. for my birthday meh. *looks at me*
me: (FML!!!)
my blur friend: ooooo……………ooooooo………..sorry.
me: kill me please.

i’m not sure if i wanted to kill him or myself. like O-M-G!!!
Pfft but nehmind I planned for a back up surprise right away. I secretly changed it to friday without the birthday boy noticing.
Informed everyone secretly, and even asked my blur friend to ask him out on friday itself so that i can stay home alone and prepare everything.
It was quite a mess due to the time constraint.

I prepared all the marinates the day before.
Beef, lamb, chicken, prawn, and squid. Typing it all out now here reminds me how painstakingly I prepared all of these.
And the most horrible of all, is no doubt the friggin squid.

* I was cutting the squid into half and half way through I saw something looking back at me. I shriek so loud and throw the eerie squid back into the sink. The squid ate the fish and it’s still inside WTF!!!! I know it’s just a fish but it really is uber disgusting.

Enough of the squid. On the day itself as I planned, boyf went out without me and I stayed home preparing for the food all day. My kitchen looks exactly like a war zone that day.

* let’s barbecueeeee.

* cooked creamy tomato spaghetti, baked mushroom, caesar salad, …..

* …… and baked egg, potato and cherry tomato.

* Man, I love the candles here in Melbourne I wanna buy them all home!! So special!!

as you know, i’ve been busy working for YES event last week and some other replacement jobs as well.
sigh, i was mad piss last friday.
have to make such effort to wake up extra earlier for some briefing but end up, briefing tak jadi.
well, fine. but bad news just have to come one after another.
was told that i actually do not have to work on that day. what!? you telling me i don’t have to work when i’m already there? awesome management, not!!

alright, fine. instead of earning money, it became spending money.
i definitely need some shopping at that very moment in order to calm myself down.
excuses? yeah maybe. and i felt extremely guilty after that for buying so much!

what are the consequences?
i have to work extra hard now to feel less guilty.
no matter how lazy i feel, i just have to go for work if there’s any.
unless there’s special occasion like birthdays!
so right now, what motivates me to work are all the stuff that i planned to buy.

have i told you i’m a shopaholic? and i don’t only shop for clothes.

* free lunch at Lot10. we ordered so friggin much, and there’s actually more.

My brother said it’s a waste of money but I don’t care I just need one and it is useful to me!

* Korean planners! So cute! i’m getting one for myself although it’s expensive. i don’t usually splurge on things but i ♥ planners. i ♥ notebooks, letters, papers. ngehehe

i prefer putting it down in my planner than saving it in my smartphone.
i’ll do both ways actually. (:

And i wanna get one of these to replace my old and dusty bolster.
been hugging it for more than ten years now.
these are sooooo cuddly from ikea. cute and cuddly, cute and cuddly

now, the new skin shall be it’s birthday present.
i’ve put down so much on this blog of mine, my life is literally all written out on it.

i’ve got a freelance job going on this week, time to get myself all busy again.
and also hopefully, more outing to entertain me.
so far, all is good. starting to enjoy myself with some friends again after loitering at home so much, surrounded by nothing but spider webs.

I’ll be having a birthday party with another 3 of my girls! (:
my primary girl friends; cindy, susan, and vivien. It has been 10 years!
We booked this cute cafe at Bangsar called Poco Handmade.
We have the whole place for our own but boy I’m nervous! and excited at the same time.
It’s gonna be a really sweet birthday because the whole place will be in pastel colours and surrounded by primary friends.

I used to be really jealous during primary 6 because Cindy and Vivien celebrated their birthday together while my birthday is 3 days after theirs and they don’t include me in.
No one really remember my birthday back then, wuwu. Haha, silly little girl.
And never did it cross my mind that I have the chance to celebrate my birthday with these girls. (:

Anyway, as USUAL again there will be a wishlist.
But actually the only thing I wish for this year is for people to treat me sincerely.
When friends asked me what do I want for this year’s birthday, I said I don’t know.
There’s really nothing much that I wish for. peace, heart, sincerity and happiness which money cant buy.

But of course, if you’re kind enough to get me presents there will be some stuff that I wish for.
Wait, not to say wishlist but these are the things I wanna buy. Just that I do not have enough cash yet.

1) Air ticket to UK.
Yes, I miss my bff and I know she miss me madly! bwaha, and I’m trying very hard to get myself an air ticket to UK and look for her. You can make donation if think our friendship is worth it or if you love me. hehehe!

2) Curling iron.
I bought super cheap ones and one day while I was curling my hair it burnt! Freaks me out wtf. I thought I’m gonna die from electric shock! And also that is why you don’t see me in curls anymore boohoo. ):
Dying to get one so I can curl my hair again.

3) Skincare.
My moisturizer and toner habis. U_U
My skin is always dry, I need one that is moisture enough. Planing to get either one of this; Hada labo, Laniege, or Biotherm. Out of cash, using mom’s sample for the moment. God!

4) Gel eyeliner.
My gel eyeliner is dying on me. I’ve been using it for so long and now it’s really dry. Been wanting to buy a really good gel eyeliner.
Using Kate’s currently and I feel like trying Maybelline’s. Not sure if it’s good enough though.

5) And that purple wallet which I’ve been eyeing for so long that cost a bomb!
Only a few knows which wallet I’m talking about. me want! U___U

6) Finally, my secret birthday wish.

OH WAIT!!
I would love to have an organizer, pink one preferably or a really beautiful one as my birthday present.
Been dying to get one since forever.

you know chinese new year is coming. i’ve been out the past few days to shop for new year clothings.
and playing ‘lami’ a lot. :X
i seriously need to start revising again. midterm is before cny.
so friggin fast !! 5 chapters in total if i’m not wrong which is really crazy.

i forced persuaded my mom to give me 300 bucks for new year clothings. :*D
she still owes me 100 now :X
actually 300 is not enough for me to shop lorh .500 will be nice. bwahah
or maybe i’ll go to the mall with her and force persuade her to pay for my stuff. :X

that 300 .now i’m only left with 70 bucks. and i’ve still got a lot more to buy. tsk tsk

but i’ll buy my own bag after i got my salary.
