There are a lot more to explore and I shouldn’t be this ignorant.
In fact I’m pretty sick of places like Penang already, it’s time for something new.

Back to Seremban, all I know for now is that this place do have some really good food which most Malaysians do not know of.
How I get to know this if you wonder, it’s from Fatty because his hometown is in Seremban itself.

If you remember, I posted one of Seremban’s delicacies which is their Beef Noodles from her famous wet market.
Needless to say, I fell in love with it.
Then there was once where Fatty bought me a packet of noodles specially from Seremban which I have never heard of.
I was eagerly waiting while he reheated the noodles for me and I cant believe how good it tasted!
Ever since that day, I always asked him when do I get to go visit Seremban again for all the irresistable food.

And one fine day, he decided to bring me after much persuading.
We both woke up real early that day because if you’re late, there wont be much left for you.
You wouldn’t want to go back empty stomach, would you?

* On our way to Seremban. Haha! I’ve got no idea what is he trying to do with his palm.

* And then his fist!

We ate three different noodles that day.

* First destination, Kedai Kopi Yung Seng.

* It’s called ‘Ah Yi Lou Shu Fun” or ‘Ah Yi Noodles’ which too I have never heard of.

* This is how it looks like when the plate of ‘Ah Yi Noodles’ arrived at my table. What you see here is Seremban ‘Lou Shu Fun’ which is totally different from the normal ‘Lou Shu Fun’ we had in KL. Different in shape, look, and texture. ‘Ah Yi Lou Shu Fun’ has really thick gravy, served with shredded eggs, minced meat, and green onions.

* Before you savour this plate of Seremban ‘Lou Shu Fun’, you need to stir and mix the black sauce along with the thick gravy. This plate of noodle is extremely cheap, only for Rm3.
I don’t quite know how to describe this noodle, really. A very simple noodle that taste good enough to turn your meal into an enjoyable one.

* Second destination, Pasar Besar Seremban or also known as Seremban famous wet market.

* Hioong Kee Mee Hoon Sotong, which is the noodle Fatty bought for me or we called it as ‘Yau Yu Mai Fun’ in Chinese.

* Served with a rather watery gravy, fried vermicelli (fried mee hoon), sotong, pork, and vegetables for only Rm3.50 per bowl. What specialty does this bowl of vermicelli with a few slices of pork and sotong hold? Well, the vermicelli is fried beforehand so it emits a pleasant crisp-burnt smell while the meat is braised in a huge pot to perfect tenderness and sliced to excellent thickness. When everything combines together, it’s a bowl made in heaven.

For my own preference, I’ll always go for thick gravy instead of watery gravy.
So if you’re like me, who cant get enough of this ‘bowl made in heaven’ and also a person who loves thick gravy as much as I do, try this :
Take away a bowl of noodles home and while you reheat it in a pot, add in corn flour to thicken the gravy.
I prefer it being in thick gravy, anytime.

* Third destination, also located inside Pasar Besar Seremban which is Seremban’s infamous beef noodle.

* Seremban ‘Lou Shu Fun’ served with a thick gravy, peanuts, sesame seeds and mixed beef. Looking at this picture alone makes me salivate. Sometimes it is pretty torturous to do food post. Dayumn! Rm6 if I’m not wrong.

Instead of going to Melaka for food trip, try going to Seremban for a change.
In fact, you can actually do both in a day. You’ll reach Seremban before you reach Melaka anyway.
There are more good food from Seremban that I have yet to try, but someday I will when the boyfriend is free enough.

Chor 1 to me will always be the most boring day of the entire Chinese New Year, quite the opposite with most of the people who celebrates it.
Chor 1 to me means staying at home, we just don’t go anywhere because my mom is such an anti-social woman, she don’t go around visiting houses.
Which explains why I’m stuck her typing this away.

As usual I’ll be going back to my hometown, Bentong tonight after my dinner and will be back on Chor 3.
The only thing I’m looking forward to are the angpows, my little cousins and Astro.
All of us watch drama using laptop, we no longer need Astro at home.
But I want to see what ‘So Sifu’ aka ‘So Man Fung Sifu’ has got to say about the dragon year this year!

This year, bff came back from UK twice.

Most of the time in the middle of our research, we’ll go ‘OH WOW! this looks damn good’ and ‘WAH SEE! Look at that beef!’.
Food blog is the root of all fats, in our case.
We just really cant say no to food. No food good food no life.

So this time for our anniversary, we decided to go for lunch instead of dinner for a change.
We picked Il Lido, located at Jalan Mayang which served classic Italian cuisine.
We made a reservation but this action is not needed because it almost seems like we booked the entire restaurant.
Empty during lunch.

* He’s the one who decided to have our lunch at Il Lido.

* I was a tad bit reluctant at first because I heard it’s pretty pricey until the boyf told me they do have lunch set menu.

* Il Lido – “The ultra-luxe interior, combined with the warm, inviting atmosphere, allows diners to ease easily into the experience.”

* Complimentary bread which I personally did not very fancy. Reason being that the taste of garlic in the bread is a tad bit on the heavy side. The taste of garlic lingers too long in my mouth and somehow affect the taste of my starter. There’s a mini fight inside my mouth when I took a bite of my starter.

* Amuse Bouche – which stands for ‘mouth amuser’ if were to direct translate from French. It is a little bite of food to amuse the mouth and different form appetizer, you wont be able to order it from menu. Instead it is selected by the chef accordingly. And the above is Tuna Carpaccio.

* Beef Carpaccio with Rucola, Parmigiano Cheese and Truffle – Rm39. Other than scallops and foie gras, the boyf likes carpaccio too and this is pretty good I must say. Wrapped the beef, rucola, cheese and truffle, stuffed it into our mouth and savour it.

I ordered Festive Season Lunch Menu that costs Rm88.
There’s two starters and three main dish for me to choose from.

* I choose Pan Roasted Scallops with Cannelini Beans, Carrot Jus and Bottarga as my starter knowing that the love likes scallop so much. There’s really nothing much for me to rave about this dish, sadly.

* And Pan Roasted Atlantic Cod with Smoked Caviar Sauce and Whipped Potato as my main course, also knowing that the love likes caviar. Did not like this either, especially the whipped potato because they whipped it with some almond and I HATE ALMOND A LOT BECAUSE IT SMELLS LIKE COCKROACH!

Boyf likes all sorts of expensive food! And I like all sorts of nasty food like cockles and pork intestine LOL.

* My dessert, Chestnut and Amaretto Parfait with Warm White Chocolate which I really dislike because I hate nuts and chocolate. What a combination!

I guess I just really dislike my set, haha. But it’s just preference and somehow the ingredients they used are foods that I dislike eating. ):

The boyf went for Degustation Menu instead, which costs Rm198.
He cant resist degustation menu, that’s for sure.

* Crab Salad with Watermelon and Tomato Elisir. This is a cold dish, it’s fresh and it tasted damn good, one of my favourite of the day.

* Pan Fried Goose Liver with Duck Terrine and Wild Berries Sauce. This is also my favourite. Their pan fried goose liver is one of the best goose liver I’ve tried by far. Slightly crispy on the outside and it melts in your mouth after the first bite. So flavorful!

* Homemade Spaghetti with Lobster and Spicy Tomato Sauce. Don’t find this interesting except that the spaghetti they use had a really different texture and I quite like it.

* Prime Beef Tenderloin with Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce and Truffle Potatoes. Boyf said hope it’s as good as Nathalie’s and when he took a bite he said IT IS really as good as Nathalie’s and when I took a bite I said no. Not as tender, I swear but I quite like the potato though.

* Molten Lava Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. I ate the ice cream while he ate the chocolate cake. In fact he dislike chocolate just like I do but he said it’s really good. Still I’m not interested to give it a try.

I figured that I prefer French cuisine more than Italian cuisine when it comes to fine dine.
I don’t know how to explain this but I just find french cuisine more ‘in-depth’ when it comes to taste or maybe it’s the restaurant I don’t know.
I’d still prefer Nathalie Gourmet anytime and also not to forget Bistro à Table.

But still I did enjoy my lunch a lot, especially with him by my side. (:
Our bill came up to about Rm400.

My twenty-third mini birthday party will not have ‘succeeded’ if Mr.Ben decides not to lend me a helping hand.
I am such a troublesome girlfriend sometimes.
And I gave him even more trouble when he needs to cook together with me for the food.

* He blew the balloons and hang it on the tree for me.

He actually took the time and Google on how we can decorate the place to make it looks nicer, more appealing to the eyes.

The month of October has always been a month that never fails to remind me of how near am I to getting another year older.
A month that makes me struggle; struggling to decide whether I should be excited or I should cringe over the fact that I am getting older and there’s not a single way to stop it.

How am I already 23?
23? For reals?
My mom gave birth to me when she’s 23, so by right I should be 9 months pregnant now!? /touchwood

Anyway, I have finally for the first time in my life get a full time job after 5 damn interviews.
Am I the only one having to go through so many interviews before I can finally get a job?
And they all told me the same thing, I lack of confidence. Pfft!!
Humble only okay, cheyy.

People said working life is scary. It eats up all of your time and this is the main reason I dread working for a full time.
I’m afraid of the changes. I’m a person who hate changes but change is the only thing constant in the world. I’ve got no choice but to adapt.

I’m glad that I finally got a job, finally leaving the so called mundane life.
I know I’m gonna miss my freedom but I too know someday I’ll get to achieve what I want.
I’ll just have to forego my afternoon lunch with my fatty and no more walking around malls after lunch!
This is definitely something I’ll miss but I still have my night time, so it’s okay. (:

The best part about the job is that it starts at 10am and ends at 7pm.
Which means I do not have to wake up so early, ngeheh! And it’s located right next to UCSI!!!
5 minutes drive and skipping all the jam! Terrific!
Cant imagine if I’m working in PJ and the work starts at 9. It’s like going through hell everyday, and twice a day.
I get to sleep more instead of wasting my time in the jam. (:

Looking forward to a more productive life.
While I work, fatty gets to focus on the project that his dad passed to him.
We both can be productive together.

Hopefully my October wont be running wild.
Just be a tame one, will do. (:

He has the ability to give me that stupid kesian look and most of the time I cant bring myself to be entirely mad at him.
He can randomly made up some stupid self compose song which sounds funny and he sings it like a Bruno Mars.
He can do the most hilarious dance shaking his stupid fat body and make me laugh like mad.
He’s the one where I can joke with the whole day.
He send the sweetest messages and he whispers sweet nothings.
He’s the one who brighten up my day after he pulled a storm over.

He’s my bestfriend but he’s also a bitch. BIATCH!

Cant wait to do all these activities when we have the time and chance (:
* Fishing and prawning. Haven’t try that in my entire life.
* Ice skating. This too, haven’t try it before in my life.
* Water themepark!!! I want to go to that Wonderland in Malacca!!
* Roller skating.
* Laser tag.
* Kite flying. Yes I wanna do it again.
* Catching crabs by the sea ((:

3 months from now. I’d love to return to the place where it all started and enjoy the same sun where we once enjoyed.

It was his birthday last week (pending post) month and we had a japanese birthday dinner because we cant help craving for japanese food after watching that hongkong sushi drama.
For the entire week I crave for sushi and it didn’t help, I miss sushi zanmai even more.
We went to this Japanese restaurant in Crown called Nobu, a restaurant opened by a celebrated Japanese chef, Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro himself.

* Sushi bar, I just love sitting there taking a quick look at these sushi masters doing their thing in between my meal. (:

* Tuna Tataki with Tozasu $22

* New Style Salmon Sashimi $18.5

* Sea Urchin $10, Japanese Chu-Toro $18 if I’m not wrong , and King Fish $5.

* Black Cod with Miso $45.5 (boyf’s favourite)

* Lobster with Wasabi Pepper Sauce $60

* Kurobuta Pork Belly with Karashi Su Miso and Nashi pear $37

Dinner was great, especially the Tuna Tataki and Salmon sashimi. *orgasmic*
But we both agreed that we should have ordered something else instead of lobster and pork belly because there really isn’t much for us to rave about on both the dishes.
Maybe we should just stick with seafood next time but nonetheless I love the dinner.
The bill came up to about $250 and if you ask me if it’s worth the price, I cant say that it’s not because indeed the food is good.
But I’ll never like the idea that it is actually that expensive.
Since it’s the boy’s birthday, I guess it’s okaaaaayyyyyyyyy. (:

We came home after dinner and I surprised him with a cake and the present I bought him all the way from Malaysia. Which is a piece of art. Yes you heard me right, a piece of art.

As for his birthday party surprise, well………..
Long before his birthday I asked myself, what kind of surprise should I give him.
If you didn’t know, I love giving people surprises. It makes me happy (:
Anyway, two weeks ago my friend suggested to have a barbecue session at our place.
But I suggested the following week instead with the excuse that we are short of cash but in fact I secretly told them that it’s Ben’s birthday next week. (:
Everyone agreed and keep it as a secret from the birthday boy,and he still thought that it’s because we’re short of cash.

BUT! BUT! BUT!
This blur friend of mine, accidentally spill it out when we’re having our coffee.
my blur friend: next saturday barbecue right? for your birthday..
me: stare at him intensely.
my blur friend: no meh? i thought it’s for your birthday
me: staring at him even more intense my eyeballs almost fall off with the thinking that i’m gonna kill him anytime soon.
ben: huh. for my birthday meh. *looks at me*
me: (FML!!!)
my blur friend: ooooo……………ooooooo………..sorry.
me: kill me please.

i’m not sure if i wanted to kill him or myself. like O-M-G!!!
Pfft but nehmind I planned for a back up surprise right away. I secretly changed it to friday without the birthday boy noticing.
Informed everyone secretly, and even asked my blur friend to ask him out on friday itself so that i can stay home alone and prepare everything.
It was quite a mess due to the time constraint.

I prepared all the marinates the day before.
Beef, lamb, chicken, prawn, and squid. Typing it all out now here reminds me how painstakingly I prepared all of these.
And the most horrible of all, is no doubt the friggin squid.

* I was cutting the squid into half and half way through I saw something looking back at me. I shriek so loud and throw the eerie squid back into the sink. The squid ate the fish and it’s still inside WTF!!!! I know it’s just a fish but it really is uber disgusting.

Enough of the squid. On the day itself as I planned, boyf went out without me and I stayed home preparing for the food all day. My kitchen looks exactly like a war zone that day.

* let’s barbecueeeee.

* cooked creamy tomato spaghetti, baked mushroom, caesar salad, …..

* …… and baked egg, potato and cherry tomato.

* Man, I love the candles here in Melbourne I wanna buy them all home!! So special!!

Fat Ben, I’m such a good girlfriend right? *flips hair*

At times when I’m mad at him or upset over the things he did or did not do, I questioned myself why am I here in sucha place feeling really upset.
But what’s a relationship without a little bit of argument?
We just had a rather huge argument two days back, the worst in these four months I reckon.
Mad, piss, upset and everything else. Not only me, so was he.
We prolly hated each other at that very moment for not understanding one another.
It’s hard really, to back down and see the situation from another dimension. Especially for me, or both since we’re equally stuborn.

But of course, after every argument things just gets better. Or so I hope.
At the minimum we understand how each other feels about some particular things.
Again, sometimes its just me being me again who is craving for undivided attention.
As my bff suggests, being my boyfriend is not easy (prolly the toughest job in the world wtf). Because I’m hard to please, in terms of emotionally.
But I try not to be whenever I come to my senses. I need more sense.

I always said it’s not easy for me, but I know it’s not easy for him too.
It is never easy for two people to come together, giving all the love, compromising, understanding, and sometimes even putting down our own ego.
I truly appreciate him for everything.
Wanting to bring me around, wanting me to try good food, and so much more.

I might not be the best girlfriend in the world, might also not be the easiest girlfriend to deal with but I’m constantly trying.
Or maybe if not the best, at least a really good one.
Thank you for the memorable four months. Time flies and I still remember the very first day (:
