My swollen lymph node experience.

7th November : 8pm

It all started about a little over a month back when I felt a slight pain on the right side of my neck. It got swollen afterwards.
I remembered that I tweeted about how afraid I was.
Fatty suggested that it might has got something to do with my lymph node (I supposed he googled and researched on what could happen to my neck) and he was right.
I went to see a doctor at the clinic that I’ve been visiting for the past 20 years and the doctor told me that my lymph node was swollen and he prescribed me some medicine. What he said to me was if the swell stays, I’ll have to go to hospital for a check up.

I was terrified so I prayed that my swell will be gone after my set of medication. My neck did went back to normal and I was hell relieved.
But about one week plus ago, I felt a slight pain again at the exact same area. I went back to the same clinic and get another set of medication.
I finished my medicine but the swell instead of going down, it got worse. The swell on my neck was so obvious and big, I was worried. So was fatty.

He suggested that I go for his doctor at OUG, telling me how good and detailed the doctor is.
There was hope. Seeing this doctor, you have to be prepared to wait for hours. He is that good.
Fatty’s mom took a number for me, it was too nice of her.
Unfortunately, the doctor didn’t give me any good news. He didn’t even bother giving me any antibiotics because it didn’t work on me the last round. He asked me to go for ENT (Ear, nose, and throat specialist) and get a thorough check up.

I get out of his room and that was the first time I broke down because of this shit.
Fatty asked me not to be worry and told me, if it’s painful it wont be too bad. It’s a nice way to keep me calm but I am still extremely worried.
As suggested, yesterday I went to Pantai Hospital Cheras.
Fatty woke up really early and fetched me to the hospital, keeping me company all the while.
Doctor said I’ll get antibiotic injections and see how the swell goes. If it remains, I’ll have to go for biopsy.

Nurses took blood test for me, I was hell scared.
I’d rather go for a two hour tattoo then to go through all this shit.

#1 By injection, I actually meant poking a needle on my arm or buttock but it seems that their definition of injection is a little different.

#2 And this is what I have to go through for 3 days, twice a day.

#3 My big bottle of antibiotic, not liking it. :(

Today, I get my usual injection and about half way through I was asked to go for xray and scan.
I don’t know what kind of scan but it turns out to be CT Scan and I HATE IT!
I was so scared I almost shivered but I tried to keep myself together. They injected different kinds of medicine and one of the medicine was so painful my whole body was so hot right after.
When everything was done, I went back to my ward and I broke down the second time.
It broke Fatty’s heart to see me in such a state but that CT Scan really took the better of me for a moment.

9th November: 6pm

I am finally discharged from the hospital, I am also finally taking a break from all those injections.
I took six doses all together and I thank God that my swell did came down because to be frank it’s no fun.
If my antibiotic drips too fast, my entire hand feels a sharp pain and sometimes I feel nausea.
I sure do hope that now my swelling is slowing coming down, I do not have anything to worry about. My doctor just didn’t explain to me thoroughly enough, I sometimes do not know what is going on.

Let’s just say, I am praying for the best.
All year round, I wasn’t feeling too healthy.
I got stomachache often, headache, nausea, and wind is always in my tummy. It’s just everything else together.

Even after all the pain and suffering I went through, I wouldn’t say that I am not blessed.
In fact, I am so very blessed despite everything.
For days, Fatty woke up extremely early (7am) to bring me to the hospital and stayed there for hours accompanying me.
He did not complain a single bit, he was just there for me physically and emotionally all the time.

I just really cant imagine going through all these without him, going through life without him.
Also, I’ve got a bunch of friends who really cared for me as well calling me asking how I am doing.
For now, I hope I’ll get well soon.
And I hope everyone who’s reading this will stay in good health.

11th Month

Good morning November! :)
Good morning birthday month! :)

I haven’t been this excited for a long time when it comes to celebrating my birthday.
Simplicity makes me happy, I believe it’s the aging effect.
Big birthday party with lots and lots of friends, receiving lots and lots of presents with a huge cake is what I dreamed of when I was young.
Now, these things scare me.

All I want is just to spend my birthday with that one person I love and have a simple dinner with people who has an impact in my life. (And a cake for me to make my yearly wishes).
I no longer wish for presents or anything material.
I just want to spend quality time and create memories that will stick with me forever on my birthday. :)

I have this friend who to me seems sensible once told me, ‘Instead of giving presents or receiving them, I’ll always go for a good meal. It’s a memory that will stick with you forever whereas presents will one day lost it’s value’.
I don’t understand the true meaning behind of it, I was so young back then.

Today, after so many years I finally understand.
I can buy myself anything that I want as long as I work hard for it but creating good memories together, you cant do it alone.
And good memories is not having a extravagant party, but is spending good times with people who means something to you in your life.

Few days more! :)

David Guetta Live in Malaysia 2012

David Guetta Live in Malaysia marks my fifth rave but sadly not the best.

I never felt that pissed at any rave event, that day was the first.
We were all late for Alesso which I was so looking forward to due to the crazy jam, also my first time experiencing such jam due to rave.

Maybe it’s just me finding faults but it did almost turned my mood off entirely. Or perhaps I was way too sober the entire time.

1. The stage was way further than all the other rave’s stages, we have to walk so far in.
2. It wasn’t even a proper walkway at some point, I have to step on stadium chairs to get down.
3. Of course, they wouldn’t have crowd control because that just means that the event organizer will earn lesser but the crowd literally drives me crazy. It was so fucking crowded and it is totally not cool to have god knows how many person’s sweat on my body.
4. When it was time to leave, I have to go through stepping the stadium chairs again but it was worst this time. There were 2 sides, one which kept walking and going while the other side (which was my side) was stopped by the security guard again and again. It was already so crowded and the guard decided to just stop and not let us go. The atmosphere was so stuffy, a friend I bumped into fainted and the stupid guard still did not let us go. I WAS FURIOUS! Really, organizer?
5. Half of the crowds acted like animals or worse.

ANGRY DIE ME! And here are the pictures from my angry night.

#1 Almost towards the end of Alesso’s spin.

#2 Lights from screen.

#3 An overexposed picture of my outfit for the night taken from Zoe’s S3.

#4 My fat boy who didn’t enjoy as much too.

#5 Me and Gavin who’s having an orgasm look on his face haha.

#6 With my bff’s bf who surprisingly wanted to go with us but just stood there whole night. Sigh, Y U NO DANCE?

#7 Zoe, Alvin, and Poh.

#8 I decided to just let Zoe take the pictures since her pictures taken from her S3 is so clear but ended up blur.

#9 Because she still doesn’t know how to focus using S3’s camera.

#10 Which explains why I now have more than 1 blur pictures. I also look so skeleton-y in this picture it kinda scares me.

Everyone has been telling me how skinny I am or that I look even skinnier the last time we met but I don’t understand!
I weigh myself and indeed I lost weight but I’ve been eating and eating too.
I’m constantly eating to the point where my friend said, ‘Every time I see you, you’re eating’ or ‘Every time you come out, you eat’.

Maybe I party too much, my type of working out. Mm hmm.

Pick Your Door

I am reaching my crucial year, aren’t I?
In less than a month I will turn 24 and I’ve never felt this old in my life.
I’m almost breaking a sweat, how is this even happening? How am I hitting 24 already?

There’s no way you can stay away from responsibilities as you age, they’re parallel or almost.
You can delay it from hitting you if you’re born rich but it will just come crashing at you sooner or later.

If you’re not the one who is climbing up the position ladder in the office, if you’re not the one earning Rm3000 and above at this age, if you’re not the one planning to buy a property then you’re the one who wonder ‘What the fuck am I doing in my life when others can be that good?’.

I am so far behind.
When will it be my turn.
Will I ever be that good to have my turn.
What am I gonna do if my income stay stagnant.

The above is just a few questions that you and I may have asked.
The world is so competitive right now or has it been this competitive all the way back to our parents’ era?
All we ever wanted is to have lots of money and enjoy life to the fullest ain’t it?
We always want the same thing, good food, branded goods, travel to nice places, nice cars, nice gadget and you’ll be on top.
Most often than not I wonder, how hard do I have to work or how smart do I have to be to achieve all the above.
Was it easy for them, for those who have it all?
Was it easy for them to start, was it a one hit wonder?

How do you set your priority in life when you don’t have it all?
When you’re just a normal person like me?
Time or money, you cant have best of both world if you aren’t rich to begin with.
Either you die working and have money with little time or you buy time with money.
All the applying leave and quitting jobs are traded with money.
Do people from 50 years back buy time and freedom with money like we do?

It is never easy to find a balance, especially not in Malaysia.
You work for long hours with low pay and not to forget the high expenses.
How many of us normal people can have a good balance between time and money?
Well unless you weren’t tempted by anything material or what I’ve mentioned above.
But then again, what’s life without indulging be it food or travel, branded or gadget.

Life can be this hard after your university days pass you by and this might just be one of the worst wake up call you have in life.
Another one will be realising actually people around you do die and leave but more on that another time.

For myself, I’d always go for time rather than money.
That is the reason as to why I hate 9 to 5 jobs and to why I hate even more on the word overtime.
Of course to most people, job is not just a job. It is a career where you can climb but career is a strange word to me.
I’m still in the midst of searching (searching since forever).
Having a job is sacrificing freedom in return of something else, no one likes it but everyone just have to do it.

You know, one thing I am glad of even in the midst of working is having found Caravan.
Caravan to me is not just another online store or just another lame shop that aims at earning money.
There are a number of things I have learned ever since I created Caravan with my partners.

I’ve always thought that it is going to be easy and I assume most of the people out there do think that setting up an online store is easy (and somewhat lame too).
But it was never.

I am the one dealing with marketing and customers and I have the duty to make sure that items from Caravan are sold off so that my partners will get what they deserve which most of the time made me feel stress.
Dealing with partners are never easy especially when everyone has their own say.
From stocks to labeling to customers to brand image, they can drive you crazy when they want to.

I never once regret for creating Caravan even though there are disagreements and fights because at the end of the day we always make it through.
Neither did my partners regret doing this.

I can trade time with money but I will never trade Caravan for anything else, time or money.

I see people complaining not having enough time or not having enough money.
Either you earn less and have more time, your earn more and have less time, or buck up and sacrifice everything else until you reach that point.

What’s your priority in life?
Mine is time and freedom.
Mine is love and Caravan.

Remaining bits from Bangkok

Stating the obvious, I am turning old.
I actually missed out on posting something from Bangkok.
It’s not much of a big deal and it might not matter but as a responsible blogger *aherm* I will now post it up.

1. Bangkok’s 7-11 or probably Thailand’s 7-11 to be exact is a gem to me.

My appetite always increase while I’m travelling and I am constantly on the hunt for food.
Unlike Fatty, who ate so little comparing to the amount intake here at home.
When hunger strikes during midnight, I just have to thank God that there’re so many 7-11 nearby. At every other corner, there stands a 7-11.

7-11 here in Malaysia is not so much of a gem, unlike Thailand’s 7-11.

A variety of instant meal boxes for you to choose from when taking a cab in search of food is not an option.

The brand for all these instant meal boxes is Ezygo and here’s the list for available choices.

Basil salted pork rice.
Shrimp dumplings.
Rice with pork, garlic and pepper.
Fried Tiger Prawns.
Rice steamed with chicken soup
Basil fried rice drunken pig.
Spaghetti in a drunken pork.
Basil chicken rice.
Pork Green Curry with rice.
Rice noodles with pork.
Chicken fried rice vermicelli noodles.
Curry rice with pork.
Boiled pork.
Basil Pork Rice.
Fried rice with seafood.
It shrimp fried rice.
Shrimp omelet rice.

Spoiled with choices, it did took me awhile to finally settled down on my box of instant food.
I set my mind on Pork Green Curry with rice and boy, the green curry was so so good!
It was creamy and aromatic, instant food instantly satisfies my green curry craving at that point.
Not to mention, preparing my Pork Green Curry with rice (39 Baht) is not preparing at all.
Cashier at 7-11 counter will heat it up for me which takes about a minute or two and you’re good to savour it right there and then if you wish.
Prices for these instant meal box is 30 Baht and above, which is quite reasonably price.

If you’re looking for something less heavy, you can go for burgers which is just as heavenly.

Shrimp burger is to die for and Fatty who is ever so picky when it comes to food loves his 20 Baht juicy shrimp burger like a fat boy love his ice-cream.
There is no way I can deny that the food from Bangkok’s 7-11 is so enjoyable and appetizing.

2. Thai Girl Show in Bangkok.

How can I be this forgetful to not ramble on Thai Girl Show in my previous post?
At the very start, I was interested in watching Thai Girl Show as I’ve always heard of them and indeed whatever I heard of sounds interesting and amusing.
Not until when I was told that it will cost me a whooping 700+ Baht to watch it.
It was a BURDEN to have my 700 Baht taken away but it was a rather different experience, none the less.
Also, I cant say no when everyone agrees to the plan so I sticked with it.

We were brought to this dodgy looking place which the name I couldn’t remember and in we went with our ticket.
I was hoping for something more glamorous instead of dodgy to be frank because we were brought by a local tour guide who was Bryan’s friend.
But I guess with the price we paid, there’s no way we can ever get into a glamorous one if there’s any.

There were 7 rounds of stunts and for each round there’ll be a girl performing nonchalantly.
Note: Please do not expect pretty looking girls with nice body figure like I did, it will disappoint you.

I cant deny that the stunts these girls pulled off was impressive.
They can smoke 3 cigarettes at one go with their p***y, blow a whistle with their p***y, write with their p***y, and the rest I wouldn’t reveal.
You need some surprise if you’re going for one in the future.
You also need to take note that if you’re going for Thai Girl Show, make sure you’re going for the right one because they’re a lot of scams around which the tour guide told us.
The bill will suddenly came up to thousands and if you do not have the money to pay or you do not want to pay, they then will attempt to hurt you or scare you with needles that contain AIDS as what they say.

Do take note too, to not take any pictures or videos because it is prohibited.
These are just not the type of people you will want to mess with, especially at a place called Thailand.

It is that scary so please make sure.
It’s a been there done that, so this will be my first and last Thai Girl Show.

How to : Japanized Pasta

This was one of the first few dishes that I learned when I was at Melbourne.
This is also one of Fatty’s favorite dish, he loves it. :D

Think of Japanized pasta as Pasta Zanmai’s pasta and you will get the picture.
Taste incredible while it’s incredibly easy to make, this is a winner.

#1 Ingredients.

Minced garlic
Spinach
Matsutake mushroom or you can use mix mushrooms depending on your liking
Mussels
Mentsuyu sauce
Japanese sesame dressing
Spaghetti

#2 Bring water to boil, add in vegetable oil, salt, and spinach. Do the same for spaghetti on another pot.

Was supposed to use bacon but since I had mussels around, so I substitute it with mussels instead.
When spinach is soft, bring it out from the pot.
Cut spinach and bacon equally.

#3 Add in olive oil into pan, follow by minced garlic, mussels (bacon), mushroom, and spinach.

#4 Saute for a while before pouring pasta into the pan. Next add in mentsuyu, probably about half a cup.

It is entirely up to your preference as to how much mentsuyu to add in but do it the wet style and pour in more.
Finally add in Japanese sesame dressing as per your liking too.

#5 Boil yourself a hard boiled egg and add it on top of your pasta.

Feel free to add in chili flakes and dry seaweed if you wish, definitely taste better in my opinion.

So if you’re wondering what Mentsuyu is, it is a soup base or soup stock mostly use for udon or soba.
Buying Mentsuyu in Melbourne was as easy as pie, I could easily grab one from Asian grocery store.
But back here, it took me awhile to finally found it. Forget about supermarkets like Giant and Jusco unless I carelessly skipped the bottle of sauce.
I’m not sure where else have it but I bought mine from Empire Shopping Gallery’s supermarket for about Rm15 per bottle.

If you ever try it, let me know if it’s good. :)
