4th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012

Last weekend was hectic for me. First it was FMFA 2012, then it was the 4th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012.
I’ve been wanting to go to this Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Putrajaya for the longest time.
I missed out this event last year and I remembered myself telling Fatty that if we ever have the chance, he must bring me to Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in the future.

Not a chance that is easy to come by because he shouldn’t be by my side this moment.
But he is. :)

So I decided to bring along my little cousins but my uncle was so afraid that I might lost his kids, only one of them followed. :(
This is so unfair to the younger brother! :(
I’ll compensate and bring him out the next time. I don’t like being unfair to little kids!

Picked this boy up and off for lunch we went before heading to Putrajaya for Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012.

Meet this 6 years old boy named Hou Yin, my cousin that I love a lot. If you hear him talk, I bet you’ll love him too. :)
He actually kept mentioning in the car that we’re going to Jusco when I kept saying to him that we’re going for hot air balloons. He thought it’s gonna be boring, he’d rather want Jusco. Haha.

The boys that accompanied me that day.
I asked my cousin, ‘Is Ben gor gor fat?’.
And he answered, ‘Fat, who say not fat? Fat like a ball’.

Hahahahahha, this 6 years old cracked me up.

His favourite, and also Fatty’s favourite when he was young which is Ultraman. They sometimes watched Ultraman on Youtube together in my house, haha.

Look how happy he was on that day! :D

We walked around and stopped by at Mollydooker’s for coffee and homemade ice-cream.
It was real hot that day.

He always treat my cousin so well and he’s really good with kids! What a keeper, hahahahah!

Just the three of us spending our Sunday together. :)

He was enjoying his Horlick ice-cream until he saw …

… this clown from afar and he thought that the clown is some satan or devil or something and the faces that he showed me was priceless, hahaha. He was so afraid that he decided to stop eating his ice-cream and I had to tell him that it’s okay.
Kids are so naive and cute! :)

We continue walking around and saw a number of activites that we cant be bothered because of the scorching hot sun.

Water orb. Of course I’m not gonna put myself into that ball, moving around weirdly while everyone else is watching. Not to mention, it was tied with a string and you cant even go far.

Paid Rm5 for the boy to enjoy but he got bored after 3 rounds. That slide is not even slippery at all. :(

KMX kart that cost Rm10 for 10 minutes and the comment that Fatty gave me was that he felt like he just went for gym.
It was pretty tiring, especially when you have a 6 years old boy on your lap.

My cousin’s legs flew up and down when Fatty cycled and I cant help but laughed because this pair above is the only pair that is so out of control!
The person in charge who thought that I was my cousin’s mother told me to asked my ‘son’ to change his position.

Young parents, not.

Changed position but my boys were still out of control. Hahahah!

After the KMX ride, we were all tired including myself.
I didn’t know that the hot air balloons will only be up at 7.30am and 5.30pm or else we wouldn’t be there so early on that day.
We were too tired to wait for the hot air balloons so home we went.

I’m not entirely upset for not getting to watch those hot air balloons because I still had fun that day but of course I wish to catch a glimpse.
I have not in my entire life came across a hot air balloon before but that’s okay, Fatty said we’ll always have the chance in the future.
Maybe even taking a ride in one. :)

A funny kid that is so truthful to me, a person I love and a place full with activities. My perfect Sunday. :)

Future Music Festival Asia 2012 (FMFA) at Sepang

I love love love rave!
My last experience from Heineken Thirst 2010 was fuh-reakin awesome and I’ve been missing that feeling ever since.

Future Music Festival Asia it was on last Saturday at Sepang.
It was a rather last minute decision.

Since I’m the ‘small lady’ aka ‘siu nui yan’, most of the time I’ll let Fatty do the decision making unless I really want something real bad.
So this last minute decision to go for FMFA 2012 was made by him.

#Future Music Festival Asia 2012!

Our tickets to FMFA 2012 cost us Rm140 each. We could have cheaper tickets on hand if we bought it earlier but the indecisive Fatty just cant make up his mind till the very last minute.
I seriously feel stupid for paying more! Especially when we arrived kinda late!

Did I mentioned that the bff is back, yet again. Haha, for her visa this time.

The rave kakis! :)

Zoe and Gavin who was dead tired from his Penang trip.

:P

Look at that stupid light up car ring on our fingers. Fatty bought it so that we can synchronized with the rave, haha.

I don’t know why they’re wearing shirts in a rave. I don’t even dare to imagine!

There were four different music stages at FMFA 2012 named Future, Las Venus, Gnome, & Flamingo and it kept reminding me of Zouk for it’s four different rooms.
Cosmic Gate, Tinie Tempah and Bass Agent were the bomb but I wish we could be there earlier because I missed out Flo Rida!

Tired from jumping, shaking, screaming, and walking from one music stages to another.

One thing I like about FMFA 2012 is that they don’t only feed us with music. Out of the sudden, there’s fireworks right in front of us for us to enjoy. :)

Look at his face and you can tell that he fell in love with rave right there and then.

Ferris wheel! Yes, there was even a ferris wheel inside a rave and it’s free of charge! How nice :D

So we decided to hop on and go for a ride.

I don’t know why he’s looking so emo here hahahaha! Probably cause I disturbed him savoring his pizza. And look at that green car ring on his finger, hahahah.

I had quite a lot of fun at FMFA 2012 but I was a little worn out from working and trying to go for Matta Fair in the afternoon that day.
I am really looking forward to Zouk Sepang 2012 but I wonder if anyone above is interested especially the indecisive Fatty.

Rave, till then. :)

Diary of a tamed shopaholic.

I often asked, ‘Why and how can things be THIS expensive!?’.
Feeling angry deep down. Angry at that stupid thing for being this expensive, angry at myself for not being good enough to have the ability to purchase it and also angry at whatever it is asking why is it so unfair.

(I often ask but I don’t often feel angry lah, just sometimes lah when I pms.)

Sometimes I’ll go, ‘diu nia sing ah. gam lan guai meh. gam lan mm gung ping geh. meh sei gai‘. HAHAHAHA!
Most of the time I do this in front of my bff.

Just like last night after my dinner with Fatty at Fahrenheit, we decided to take a stroll and window shop at Pavilion.

Zara’s window display attracted me into their shop, as usual.
I have always like their window display!
Their collection this season makes me cringe.
Because they’re too beautiful and I cant afford them!
I love what my eyes saw and I love their fabrics too.
But I no like their price tags. ):

I said to Fatty,  ‘Hmph! You see what will happen if I have the ability to shop like I own Zara!’.
I almost ‘fat din‘ hahaha.

Also not to forget Aldo, one of my favourite shoe brand though I don’t own one yet.
Their heels are breathtaking.
I like going into Aldo and trying on their heels, and then leave just like that. HAHA!

Fact is, I can actually buy a pair of their heels but I just cant allow myself to do so when it’s gonna take a portion of my salary.
When that pair of heels can buy me a 3 days 2 nights trip to Pangkor or wherever.
Ngo zip sau mm dou lorh.

And then I told myself last night, one fine day I’m gonna fucking own one of those babies.
One fine day when it doesn’t hurt to get one.

I’ll be so proud to buy myself an Aldo!!

For now, I’ll wear my Rm60 heels that hurt my feet every single time.
But it’s okay, I tell myself.

I’m a tamed shopaholic.
But I wasn’t one long ago.

I have this habit in me which I named it as ‘just-buy-la-don’t-care’.
I’ll buy whatever I like even when I’m about to go broke and the consequences that it brought to me is indeed a good lesson.
So, I’m quite well-trained now I must say. Haha.

I determine my own shopping day.
Saw something I like. Not shopping day. Must not buy.
But one downside to this is that once my shopping day is here, sometimes I lost control due to controlling too much. Terpesong, terbabas. Suka hati lah.

My bff said something I did not realize, ‘At least you can afford everything you’re having now. You can afford your life. You come across us/them owning better things than you but in fact they themselves cannot afford buying it. They cannot afford the life they’re living, what they’re having now are all from their parents.

Boys, sorry to disappoint you there’s no Robin nor Batman here.
What I have here today is an online store called Robin selling trendy apparel and accessories.
Batman? Maybe next time.

1) Alexander Wang Cropped wool-blend jacquard sweater – $385
2) Ron Hami Octagon Bib Necklace – $8,404
3) Heidi Mottram Magic Clutch – $382
4) Chrissie Morris Molly – $1,290
5) Brunns Bazaar Maxi Skirt Black
6) Kill City Cropped T-Shirt – €64.00
7) Vernissageproject Fox Ring – €426.00
8.) The Huntress Fringe Bag – $38
9) Nissa Wedge Peep Toe Pumps – $975

I created the above set specially for Robin. No, those are not from Robin which you can tell obviously by the price alone.
Those are friggin expensive babies especially Alexander Wang’s cropped sweater.
Exactly how many of us can afford a eight thousand necklace or a four hundred pound fox ring?
The more I type the more ridiculous it gets.

People like me believe that fashion can go well with the word affordable.
And haven’t I prove myself already?

Similar items, affordable price and here’s what Robin has got to offer to all you fashionista.

Working, something we cant escape in life.

One thing I dread most is stepping into the adult working life. Still dreading….
It’s such a nonsense to me; sometimes.
But none can really escape from it, unless you’re one of those lucky bitches who were born in a rich family and then married to a rich husband not long after you graduated. Full time house wife / full time ‘siu lai lai’ aka ‘every-girl’s-dream’.

I always, always prefer the teenager way of working.
Part time and freelance. I can almost have all the freedom in the world.
If I’m lazy and not happy, I’ll say no to the job.
If the pay is good enough, I don’t even mind working everyday.
Entirely up to me and myself.

To come to think of it, I had quite a number of different jobs and experiences.

I walked towards Leisure Mall when I was fifteen, checked out the shops and booths one by one to see if they’re hiring any part timers.
A booth selling accessories was looking for a part timer and I walked up to try my luck.
Luck was with me and that was my first job in my life.
Selling accessories for only Rm3.50 per hour.

I did the same when I was sixteen and I got myself a part time job as a waitress in a cafe outside Leisure Mall.
Rm4.50 per hour and I was happy to have increased Rm1 after a year.

At the age of seventeen, I tried something different.
I worked around little kids in a kindergarten, taught them how to do their homework and looked after them.
Pay was low but with short working hours and most importantly I had fun working around little angels.

After high school, I worked as a sales girl with an average pay of Rm10.
Selling Maxis plans and broadband and broadband and broadband.
I just somehow get to sell broadband a lot and I actually hated it.

I finally figured I hate selling things, I hate persuading and bothering the hell out of people.
I then worked as a freelancer and I try to avoid working as a sales girl at all cost.

I worked as a flyer girl, just giving out flyers to whoever that passed by me.
I worked for Magnum teaching people how to buy the newest jackpot or in simpler words, teaching them how to gamble.
I worked for cigarette companies, selling cigarettes.
I worked for beer companies, selling beers.

(Selling ciggies and beers was different. I don’t really have to persuade them and most importantly there’s no target for me to achieve. Most of the time I just asked and walked away, lol.)

And sometimes, all I need to do is just to stand somewhat like a vase for a couple of hours and there comes the money into my pocket.
I enjoyed working as a freelancer to be frank. It is good money!
Standing behind counter asking if the smokers would like to try the cigarette I’m selling for 3 hours, I’ll get a total of Rm100.

Most of the time I miss those days or more like I miss those easy money.
I miss how my life can be so flexible yet I can earn my own money and not die of hunger.
But those days are far behind knowing that I’m no longer 20.

My first full time which you all had already know, gave me a rather shocking experience.
I did not disclose this in my blog but here I am doing it now.
I quit my job. My closest friends knew about this because I told them.
And for those who knew about this but I did not told, you’ve got some skills. (;

What’s wrong with the company, you might asked.
The company is good, from concept to office surrounding.
But my ex-boss is not. Is, because he still sucks! ):
When I first stepped into that company, there’s 7 of us working all together.
Today, there’s only 2 left.

I don’t care how he has his own principles and what not but there’s certainly one thing that he failed to do.
Which is to not neglect the employees; us.
Forget about the benefits because there’s none.
No EPF when I worked, only ten public holidays per year and what not.
For us the employees, all we ever want in return is to get our pay every month on time. The money that we work for.
And this is the thing my ex-boss failed to do.

Our pay; never on time even till this date.
Sometimes on the 10th. Or maybe 15th. You can imagine.
I worked till December last year and I haven’t got my pay until today.
Most of the time I am beyond mad because I already called and reminded him a couple of times.
To be frank it is just a freaking small amount, I don’t get why is it so hard for him to just pay my salary.

I am working in a new company now and I already got my February’s pay.
So where’s my December’s pay Mr. Ex-boss!?
Talking about efficiency.

Sigh, I just wanna rant because I am mad at this fact that my pay is nowhere to be seen.
I’m about to go right up to his office and ask him wtf is his problem!

All in all, working most of the time is a pain in the ass.

A little on Gavin’s birthday. A little on outfit of the day.

A rather short post to keep my blog alive.
Just some pictures taken on Gavin’s birthday last Saturday at Neway CEO.
I guess he really like celebrating his birthday in a karaoke, last year was the same.

* Me and Foon who came back from Hong Kong. This time, for 3 weeks. (:

* Some weird bromance going on there.

* ‘Dear’ and birthday boy.

* Ze boys.

* And ze girls.

See, told you it’s gonna be a short post.
But I’m gonna post more, just so that I won’t waste your effort coming into my blog and reading just a few lines with just a couple of pictures.

Some OFTD or OOTD pictures which I took and uploaded to Instagram last week.

* I have a thing for mustard colour and I really like my mustard coloured shoes! My shoes aren’t this bright in real life.

Woven brown belt: Rm8 from Sungei Wang
Black pants: Rm30+ from Supre
Red bag: Louis Vuitton
Mustard shoes: Rm25 from Pasar Malam

* Really like this asymmetrical dress too, it’s flowy and a little see through and all but this picture just cant tell.

Red maroon asymmetrical dress: Rm30 from Fahrenheit
Green belt: About Rm12 from Fahrenheit
Peacock necklace: Rm6.90

Turquoise see-through flowery top: Rm25 from Time Square
Black leggings: Rm20 from FBlock
Peacock ring: Rm3.90

I’ve never really do this on my blog, exposing how cheap and affordable my clothes are.
Looking for cheap and affordable clothing has always been a challenge for me.
In fact, what use to be a challenge now turns into a habit.
A habit which I really like, I find the joy in it. Lol.

You know you just really cant stop a shopaholic from shopping, no matter how broke they are.
The best way to shop while being broke is to shop cheap. /best

I guess I might do this often, posting up some cheap OFTD / OOTD.
That’s about it for now.

Till then and hope you enjoy seeing my cheap clothes wtf.
